George Zimmerman Scammed Gun Nuts Out Of A Lot Of Money; Never Paid Attorneys

SUCKERS!!!

It appears that George Zimmerman may have conned the cons. After his recent altercation with his wife, his attorney, Mark O’Mara told ABC News in a September 10th  interview that he would no longer be representing Zimmerman. That shouldn’t be surprising, considering that Zimmerman was almost arrested outside of the home of his estranged wife earlier in the week for an alleged domestic violence incident. While some media sites have claimed that the police stated Zimmerman didn’t have a gun, these reports, according to Zimmermans’s own attorney, are false. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, O’Mara said that Zimmerman was in possession of a weapon when he went to his wife’s home.

What might be surprising, however, is that O’Mara may not have dropped Zimmerman because of his tendency to get into trouble with the law. During the ABC interview, when O’Mara was asked if he had any advice for his former client, he said this:

“Pay me.”

Wait, Zimmerman never paid his defense attorney? What happened to all of the money he raised for his “legal defense fund?” It’s interesting, actually. If you visit Zimmerman’s Legal Defense fund web-site you can get a pretty good idea where the majority of the money was spent.

Zimmerman’s web page says that as of January 2, 2013, the “George Zimmerman Defense Fund” had raised a total of $314,099.07. That sounds like a lot of money. The web page goes on to give a not-at-all-detailed break-down of how the money was spent.

The first expense entered shows $95,000 for bail.

That money would have been returned following the not guilty verdict, however, which means this is no longer a valid expense. It also means the money should have been added back into the total at some point.

Next, we see that $61,747.54 was spent for 8 months of living expenses. And that doesn’t include Zimmerman’s private security, which for 8 months cost an additional $56,100.00.

(Side note: Where was the militia? Shouldn’t there have been some gun advocacy group somewhere  willing to provide this service for free?)

Yes, AL, It’s All About the Color!

By Joe Messina on Sep 15, 2013

For AL Sharpton, it’s all about color, not reality, just color. Al Sharpton commented on his show this week that there are no black people on the board of Apple, and that 30% of the largest corporations in America have no black people on their boards. He and the guest on his show went on to state that these corporations also fail to have blacks in positions of authority or management. Really? What study was this based on? Where do they get their numbers?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. asked us not to judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character and abilities. I have many black friends and they all would rather be valued for their character and ability not for skin color. And, as a reminder Mr. Sharpton, you’ve stated many times that we need to become color blind.

He goes on to say major corporations do not advertise in black areas? Where is he talking about, Detroit, South Central Los Angeles, Harlem? Areas where most people can’t pay rent, yet he wants corporations to advertise a $600.00 iPad?

High density black populations live in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Boston. Last I heard there were all kinds of ads including those for Apple, Microsoft, IBM and others in those cities.

Wake up Al! You only advertise where you get a return on your dollar, not a flushing sound as you hear your stockholders’ money being wasted.

The Government's F.F.F. Formula

Hopefully, most critical thinkers are not of the belief that we have no meaningful significance in the running of our government. We ask: Why is it that other societies take to the streets when their governments go astray. The simplistic answer is that the American government is a constant follower of the F.F.F. formula. The following essay is not complex because Joe - Black Eagle - Madison likes to say, "Just it out there where the goats can get it."

First F. Fear is a great and constant motivator. If you keep the majority of a population afraid, there is simply no limitation on the amount of freedom that 'the government' will be permitted to take away from us in the name of security. The Arabs or some ethnic is coming to bomb you. Such threats have given us the Department of Homeland Security, NSA domestic syping, FBI national security warrants, stop-and-frisk, Stand Your Ground, No Fly, etc. Give it some critical thought.

Second F.  Food is perhaps the most important leg of the equation. A starving human has no interest in gold, shares, bonds or liberty. As long as the people have enough to eat, they are passive and easy to manipulate. If rebellion should ever return to the United States,
it will probably start with mothers who are unable to feed their babies. Mothers will allow a government to send their men to war but don't try to take away her baby. I say this to the politicians: Don't play around with WIC or Medicaid because you won't be able withstand
the backlash. Give it some critical thought.

Third F. Fun and frivolity is the last component. Even the ancient Romans understand that gladiators would keep the impoverished happy an unmindful of their plight. Today we have soccer, football, golf, baseball and much more to keep us amused. How many of your acquaintances can tell you more than you want to know about Sarah 'I can see Alaka from my front porch' Palin but can't name their 'do nothing'  congress person or the location of Switzerland. Give it some critical thought. We can all fight the system and take control of 'our government' with the focused spending of our discretionary dollars. Why not 'Boycott Christmas'? Give it some critical thought.

It’s Time to Drop the Bomb!
(Part 2)

By Rufus Jones, Squire to the Oracle

The replies to my suggestion to Boycott Christmas has really stirred up some excitement but a few readers view it as a left-wing (socialist) plot. So ;et me expand my thinking while speaking to the some of comments.

First. I’m just an average American who tries to avoid prejudice, i.e., prejudge. I’m neither a socialist or a communist. I’m a Viet Nam vet with a disability who believes in socialized medicine as practiced by my V.A. doctors.

Second. It’s time that the source of the chaos in government be directly attacked. How many of you stood by when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled by in 2000 that its vote was the only one that counted. ‘We the People’ stood mute and thought, What can I do?

Let me set forth a few examples of what other Americans have done.

I wonder what went through John Brown’s mind when he fought back against tyranny. Hopefully, you remember that he was a believer in the equality of the races, Brown settled (1855) with five of his sons in Kansas to help win the state for freedom. He became "captain" of the colony on the Osawatomie River. The success of the proslavery forces, particularly their sack of Lawrence, aroused Brown, and in order "to cause a restraining fear" in 1856 he, with four of his sons and two other men, savagely murdered five proslavery men living on the banks of the Pottawatomie Creek.

While his deeds were extreme and did not go unpunished, he showed that one individual can have a profound impact when it comes to righting wrongs. If you doubt this consider that one-person army named Mahatma Ghandi.

Ghandi was a lawyer who dedicated his life to helping others. He is attributed with the“modern tradition of non-violent action for change” by the Dalai Lama. He worked towards, and succeeded in changing the Pass Laws in South Africa, which controlled the movements of blacks and others of mixed decent under the apartheid. Ghandi was never awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, although many believe he should have.

Ever heard of Fannie Lou Hamer? Known as the lady who was "sick and tired of being sick and tired," was born October 6, 1917, in Montgomery County, Mississippi. She was the granddaughter of slaves. Her family were sharecroppers - a position not that different from slavery. Hamer had 19 brothers and sisters. She was the youngest of the children.

In 1962, when Hamer was 44 years old, SNCC (Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee) volunteers came to town and held a voter registration meeting. She attended and was surprised to learn that African-Americans actually had a constitutional right to vote. When the SNCC members asked for volunteers to go to the courthouse to register to vote, Hamer was the first to raise her hand. This was a dangerous decision. She later reflected, "The only thing they could do to me was to kill me, and it seemed like they'd been trying to do that a little bit at a time ever since I could remember."1

Second. American history reveals a multitude of examples of people who became courageous in spite of their fears and outrages. They had their own opinion and strong verification of it. Unsung heroes are still many in number in our time, and the past century pictured not all of them in the books of History we have at the moment.

All of this is said to explain that, irrespective of your fear of government spies, the Boycott Christmas effort allows you to remain anonymous. There are no meetings, petitions, marches, sitting in, or rallies. There is no law currently on the books which compels you to go broke at Christmas. This is truly a silent boycott.

Finally, you did nothing when the Congress passed and the President signed the “Patriot Act”. You gave up your rights without a murmur. I wonder what your reaction would have been had they come for your cat or dog.

My question to you is, “What are you going to do grab the attention of wealthy and privileged own government?” I intend to Boycott Christmas.

1.  In Mississippi she organized voter registration drives, including the "Freedom Ballot Campaign", a mock election, in 1963, and the "Freedom Summer" initiative in 1964. She was known to the volunteers of Freedom Summer - most of whom were young, white, and from northern states - as a motherly figure who believed that the civil rights effort should be multi-racial in nature.

It's Time to Drop the Bomb!

It’s Time to Drop the Bomb!

By Rufus Jones, Squire to the Oracle

Without a doubt, most readers will be appalled at what follows. However, in my personal opinion this nation is so bogged down corruption and misinformation it’s time to stop talking and just drop the figuative bomb.

I’m tired of being a slave to the corporate ruling class. Our country’s government is now attempting to pull off a reverse Robin Hood, viz., rob the poor and give it to the rich.

Well now we the people have another weapon to add to our arsenal. I’m not attempting to downplay the effectiveness of the Occupy Movement, social networking, marches, letter writing and telephone calls to elected officials. These efforts must be continued, if not intensified. The time for politics and obstruction to end. There simply has to be an ultimate and final solution and you control that weapon.

I want our government(s) to intelligently and comprehensively debate the real problems and concerns of average Americans. Trade policies, education, health care, welfare, voting rates, labor relations, wages, fair taxation, gun legislation, campaign financing, social security, gender equality, equality, tax policy, infrastructure, privacy, fiscal responsibility, etc. Irrespective of your position or opinion on any of these topics, you’re entitled

My appeal is to intelligent individuals every political, sexual, gender, ideology ppersuasion. The goal is to have honest discussion and transparently reveal the inner workings of elected government. Unfortunately, many of people will read this will find it unseemly. To those of that ilk, I offer my apologies. Hopefully, you’ll eventually come around to my way of thinking.

First, a little background.

The moneyed class has always attempted to influence the direction of the country.  By way of example, during the colonial period and the early years of our nation, voting was generally restricted to white men who owned property. Today, these same individuals contribute the money that control our elected politicians, enforcement officials and judges.

In order to make the Forbes 400 Wealthiest Americans, it’s necessary to have a net worth in excess of $1 billion. The top ten are:

1.    Bill Gates, $66 billion
2.    Warren Buffett, $46 billion
3.    Larry Ellison, $41 billion
4.    Charles Koch, $31 billion
5.    David Koch, $31 billion
6.    Christy Walton & family, $27.9 billion (Walmart)
7.    Jim Walton, $26.8 billion (Walmart)
8.    Alice Walton, $26.3 billion (Walmart)
9.    S. Robson Walton, $26.1 billion (Walmart)
10.    Michael Bloomberg, $25 billion

Second.

The multimillionaires and the billionaires don’t hold their wealth in cash. They invest their money in bonds, stock and property. These are weak links in their chain of power.

However, these assets will not crumble to a direct frontal attack. But an attack against their wealth will cause them to consider and eventually pull back and return the government to “we the people”.

The wealthy obviously feel as though they are entitled to everything of value and the crumbs can filter down to the rest of the populace. They should remember that Frederick the Great said, “He who defends everything defends nothing.”

I was once told that when you get to be too good for the little, they’ll eventually get to be too good for you. That time is now and you and possess the ultimate weapon.

Take it as an article of faith of faith that armed revolution is not the answer. The government at every level will crush you and not even think about it. If you’re contemplating revolution you’ll end up just like Waco, Kent State  or Ruby Ridge, With luck, you’ll only be subjected to pepper spray but don’t count on it..

Third – The Foundation.

The crux of my proposal can be gleaned from a couple of interesting tidbits.

Did you know that German 2012 retail sales unexpectedly declined in December as consumers’ Christmas-shopping frenzy was damped by uncertainty about the economic outlook.

Adjusted for inflation and seasonal swings, declined 1.4 percent from November, when they fell 1 percent, the Federal Statistics Office in Wiesbaden said today. Economists forecast a gain of 0.8 percent, the median of 24 estimates in a Bloomberg News survey showed. Sales fell 0.9 percent from a year ago. The statistics office said retail sales were 0.9 percent higher in 2011 than in 2010.

U.S. retail sales the entire holiday season were below the solid gains made at the beginning of the festive season. Sales got off to a firm start during the Thanksgiving weekend, but then slowed down as holiday shoppers adopted a wait-and-see approach to buying. Still, US retailers, helped by a longer Thanksgiving-to-Christmas period lasting for 32 days against 30 in 2011, as well as low temperatures across most parts of the US and despite the residual impact of Superstorm Sandy in the Northeast, managed to record a satisfactory sales increase of some 3% from last year, when a stellar growth of over 5% was achieved.

Conclusion: Drop the Bomb..

In order to bring about meaningful change we’ll have to use the methods of the wealthy puppet masters. The wealthy will only respect an attack on their money. Real Estate Investment Trusts build the malls, office buildings and warehouses. That debt must be serviced by companies who produce up to forty percent of their profits between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Do I need to tell you who owns the stock in those retailers and Investment Trusts?

Unlike you and I the rich don’t hoard cash. They invest in debt instruments, real property and virtually everything that has intrinsic value.

The ultimate weapon is a boycott of Christmas. We only need a minuscule decline in retail performance to gain attention. I suggest a goal of .05 to 1% for 2013. The goal will increase by one percent each year until there is a positive reaction. I realize that this goal won’t appeal to many of you activists. They’re wrong.

It is realistic to believe and state that most Americans are content to let others take the risks while they share the benefits and avoid the risks. I’m appealing to everyone that doesn’t want to sit-in, marc, have his/her name published or attend meetings. Those individuals can remain invisible because no one can spy on you or even monitor your participation in the Christmas Boycott.

Should you find any merit in my secret weapon, please free to pass this opinion piece on to everyone you know.
